returning to the same art gallery day after day became damon salvatore’s ritual over the years. he had a clear image of everything; everything he had experienced and lived before - damon was aware of his previous life; and his goal was to search for a woman he once upon a time painted, but lost. he returned to that place, watching every woman that stopped by the portrait he had drawn afew decades ago to see if he felt something, if there was a way to meet her again - if she was still around somehow.

seeing a young woman approach his old portrait, damon tried once again his luck. taking a step next to her, damon pretended to watch the portrait with a certain interest before deciding to speak to her.  ‘ it’s a beautiful painting, ’ damon smirked proudly before looking at her, ‘ isn’t it? ’

Bonnie was on anexcursion with her art class, visiting the newest exhibition of the grand artmuseum a few hours away from her college in Dalcrest. Her major was art, andminor English literature. The students were allowed to discover the museum ontheir own hence she wandered around the building by herself, watching theportraits at the same time. The exhibition concerned the time during World War II,from the 30’s till the end of the 40’s. The themes were naturally war, gore,poverty, starvation, and death, still she was pleased to find some pictures regardingthe family, and love, and just drawings of beautiful women, dressed, not nude.

The dainty strawberry blonde came to a halt when her big brown eyes focused ona certain image: a portrait of a short redheaded woman, sitting at a table, andsmiling softly. The woman’s eyes were soft brown and as large as Bonnie’s; herface, small and heart shaped, equaling Bonnie’s face.

As she examined thepicture, someone snuck up on her, startling the fiery red curled girl. Her headtilted to where the sound came, meeting a gorgeous tall dark haired man,smirking at her, and asking if the painting were not beautiful. A moment or twopassed in silence until Bonnie spoke up, flashing a genuine smile. ❛It surelyis a wonderful drawing. The artist did an amazing job. The colors harmonize togethervery well. It’s idyllic.❜
